Public Work Yard Hours

Monday through Friday

8am-12pm and 12:30pm-3:00pm Daily

Saturday and Sunday*

8am-12pm and 12:30- 2:45pm

The Yard is opened on both Saturday and Sunday

The Public Works Yard and Recycling Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 3:00PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00AM till 2:45PM. The Yard closes everyday from 12:00 to 12:30 for lunch.

Report Animal Cruelty​

We no longer accept tires. Residents can take their tires to the southern recycling center 379 haywood rd. Manahawkin. They are open monday through saturday-7:30am - 3:00pm phone - 609-978-0913

Remember to remove vehicles and portable basket ball hoops from snow covered roads. "Help us help you" so we can remove the snow for emergency vehicles such as "Police, fire, ems" and also for your self.

It is very important during flooding, storms, and hurricanes, to secure your personal belongings and things that will float away, ie trash containers....Tuckerton boro will not be responsible for lost trash bins...If they are lost or missing you will need to visit the construction office at the municipal complex on 420 east main street and purchase another one.

General Information

Tuckerton Borough Department of Public Works adopts as its standard terms and conditions, the Borough rules and regulations presently applicable to the department, and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. The other rules and regulations which, from time to time may be adopted and enacted by other governmental agencies or Borough officials. All residents are required to check in and fill out the appropriate information for proof of residency prior to discarding any items at the Borough yard.

Call to schedule bulk pickup at 296-5058. Pickup will be on fridays. Do not put items out at curb until the day before scheduled pickup. (in the event of a holiday pickup will be on thursday)

Where a Building Permit is Required the Homeowner and/or the Contractor is Responsible for Disposal!
