General Disaster Tips
Be aware of changing conditions. Plan ahead by:
- Prepare a disaster supplies kit.
- Have at least a week's supply of medications.
- Develop a communication plan with your family.
- Store one gallon of water per day per person, maintain at least a 3 day supply.
- Have ready to eat canned foods-3 day supply and a manual can opener.
- Secure important family documents in a waterproof container ready to go with you.
- Know which radio stations broadcast Emergency Alert Systems. e.g. WOBM AM 1160, WOBM FM 92.7 or local.nixle.com and sign up for alerts. The Tuckerton Beach Association Page on Facebook will broadcast emergency alerts.
