NOTICE TO RESIDENTS – HYDRANT FLUSHING
Please be advised that the Borough of Tuckerton Water and Sewer Department will begin its Fall Hydrant Flushing Program on Monday, November 9, 2026, starting in the Tuckerton Beach area and continuing throughout the remainder of the Borough thereafter and finishing up by Thursday November 12, 2026.
During hydrant flushing operations, residents may experience temporary low water pressure, air in the water lines, or water discoloration. These conditions are normal and expected during the flushing process.
If you experience discolored water or air in your water lines, please run COLD WATER ONLY from your faucets until the water runs clear. We also recommend avoiding laundry, particularly white or light-colored clothing, while water discoloration is present.
Hydrant flushing is an important part of maintaining the Borough’s water distribution system and helps ensure the continued quality and reliability of our water supply.
We apologize for any temporary inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation while our Water and Sewer Department completes this necessary maintenance.
